City Walk Skate Park is a world-class, 58,000-square-foot facility designed by New Line Skateparks for everyone from first-time riders to seasoned athletes and professional competitors.

One of the largest skate parks in the region, the facility features a pump track, street course, two large bowls, beginner bowls and quarter-pipe areas — creating a dynamic venue for everyday sessions, skill development and major skate and action sports competitions.

Admission is free. All riders are required to check in and complete a liability waiver before entering the Skate Park.

FISE WORLD SERIES 2026

For three days, City Walk went global.

Aug. 7–9, 2026, City Walk BHAM welcomed the FISE World Series to Birmingham — the only U.S. stop on the 2026 international tour.

More than 400 athletes from around the world came to Birmingham for world-class BMX, skateboarding and 3×3 basketball competition, transforming City Walk into an international stage for action sports, music, culture and community.

From elite competition at the Skate Park to a full-scale BMX course built within City Walk, FISE showcased what this space was designed to do: bring people together and give Birmingham a place to play, compete and host the world.

RED BULL

Red Bull brought the heat to City Walk.

In September 2024, City Walk Skate Park hosted the first-ever Red Bull Bowl-B-Que, bringing Red Bull pro skaters together with amateur competitors from across the country for a full day of competition.

Skaters took on City Walk’s street course, bowls and pool through best-trick competitions and a high-energy bowl jam, competing for thousands of dollars in cash prizes and bragging rights along the way.

The event put City Walk’s 58,000-square-foot Skate Park on a national stage while keeping the heart of skate culture intact — pros and amateurs riding together, pushing their skills and building community.

Rules & Regulations

  • City Walk Skatepark is a supervised facility and is only open for skating during posted hours of operation.
  • The BJCC and ALDOT,including all associates and employees, assume no liability for loss, damage, or any kind of injury or accident to people or property.
  • Skating and riding under the best conditions is a high-risk activity.
  • Make good choices and be responsible for your safety as well as the safety of others.
  • If you participate, you accept the risk of injury.
  • A signed waiver form is required. For riders under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present to sign the waiver form and provide a valid ID.
  • Daily check-in is required during posted hours of operation.
  • The skate park is for skateboards, bikes, in-line and quad skaters, and non-foldable scooters only. No motorized vehicles, bikes, or scooters will be allowed.
  • All participants are required to wear proper attire and safety gear, including closed-toe shoes, shirts, pads, and wrist supports. Helmets are mandatory.
  • Children under the age of 12 should be supervised by an adult.
  • Spectators must remain away from the riding area.
  • Do not proceed into any area until clear of other participants.
  • Keep the riding area clean.
  • The facility will be closed when the surface is wet or during inclement weather conditions.
  • Portable obstacles or materials (ramps, jumps, rails, etc.) may not be used.
  • Respect other park users and refrain from using amplified sound, profane or abusive language, or gestures.
  • No pets, weapons, firearms, alcohol, drugs, or use of tobacco products of any kind.
  • No food, drinks, glass containers, or other breakable objects inside the skate park.
  • The BJCC must approve any organized special event.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or any problems with users or spectators to the staff immediately.
  • Skate within your abilities. Know your skill level.
  • Failure to adhere to the skate park and facility regulations can result in loss of facility privileges and/or citation.
