At the western end of City Walk, design and storytelling create a meaningful connection to Birmingham’s Civil Rights District, located just a few blocks south.

Paving patterns inspired by those found within the historic district establish a physical connection, while digital and permanent displays share stories from Birmingham’s Civil Rights history and the people and events that helped shape it.

This space invites visitors to learn, reflect and better understand the history that surrounds City Walk and continues to shape Birmingham today.
